Raster and vector are the two ways graphics are made. Raster uses pixels which can get pixelated. Which can result in the photo being distorted and not scalable. Vector uses vector lines and shapes which do not get pixelated. Vector has an outline to the shapes before it is drawn and coloured in. Rasters get saved under JPG, PNG, GIF, and BMP. While Vectors gets saved under AI, PDF, EPS, and SVG. Vector files do not work on all programs.
